Why We Endorse Rajah
Rajah Maggay is fighting for a more affordable, safe, and better connected Edmonton.
I bring five years of City Hall experience, combined with lived experience and community engagement, to ensure Ward Nakota Isga has a thoughtful and people-centred voice. I am committed to making Edmonton a city where every resident can thrive, feel safe, and belong.
About Rajah
Rajah Maggay has worked as a senior municipal policy advisor for Ward Nakota Isga, helping to advance policies that have made major improvements for working people.
Her major priorities are completely in line with what we have heard from working families: affordable housing, better transit, stronger amenities and public spaces, and helping small businesses thrive.
Rajah’s qualifications include:
- Rajah worked directly with residents, community groups, small businesses, and city staff to help shape policies that improve daily life — from the Valley Line West LRT to the Lewis Farms Recreation Centre and is intimately aware of the wards issues.
- Beyond City Hall, Rajah is a small business owner, a nonprofit co-founder, and a long-standing advocate for equity and inclusion.
- Co-founded In Her Words Bookshop, a pop-up bookstore that amplifies women’s voices, and Political DIVAS, a nonprofit empowering women and gender-diverse people to engage in politics.
- As Vice Chair of Communications for ParityYEG, she supported efforts to advance gender equity in public leadership.
