Why We Endorse Anne

Anne is fighting for affordable housing, safe communities, and better public services.

I believe that cities can be engines of equity and I’m running because I want to build an Edmonton that serves everyone. I’m excited to continue to bring my experience in city planning and affordable housing to deliver solutions to the challenges we face, and build on the great strengths of our community.

About Anne

Anne Stevenson has been representing Ward O-day’min on Edmonton City Council since 2021.

Prior to City Council, she spent seven years working in the planning department at the City of Edmonton and then joined the Right at Home Housing Society where she focused on providing affordable housing solutions to meet the diverse needs of our community. She has been a champion for the Edmonton downtown communities above all else and works tirelessly to make our city the best it can be.

Anne’s qualifications include:

  • Anne led initiatives to ensure more housing options in
O-day’min, including exempting affordable housing from property taxes, supporting historic investment in affordable housing, and reducing sprawl with more homes in existing neighbourhoods through changes to the zoning bylaw.
  • Anne worked to make our communities safer by investing in crisis diversion, growing transit peace officer resources, and introducing a new tax penalty for derelict property owners.
  • She improved our public services by expanding transit hours, enhancing cleaning in the core through Centre City Optimization, and more funding for snow clearing and grass cutting.
