MAKE SURE TO VOTE ON OCTOBER 20
Why We Endorse Keren
Keren Tang is fighting for better transit, public services and keeping our city safe.
Over the last four years, I have worked to lay a strong foundation of policies and initiatives I believe in and I want to see this work through in the next term.
About Keren
Keren has represented Ward Karhiio on Edmonton City Council since 2021. She has developed strong working relationships with Ward Karhiio residents, businesses, community leagues, and organizations making our city better.
She has taken the time to reach out and listen to the issues that are affecting city workers and heard from the front lines about how we can make our city more efficient.
Keren’s qualifications include:
- Brought Community-Based Budgeting to Ward Karhiio. Through this initiative, community leaders young and old have created public art projects, installed little libraries and public benches, planted new trees, launched Mill Woods Dining Week, and mapped hundreds of kilometers of bike paths to help Edmontonians navigate our city.
- She was instrumental in rejuvenating the Edmonton Research Park, a hub for innovators and entrepreneurs. In the past year, the hub has generated over $400M worth of investment, supporting the development of critical medicines, healthcare technologies, and pharmaceuticals, among other things.
- At City Hall, Keren has advocated for long-term investments in violence prevention, resulting in a new coordinated violence prevention action plan for Edmonton.
- Keren has improved the City’s transit services, helping add 50,000 new transit service hours this year.
- Keren voted in favor of changes that streamlined development activities, to improve housing in our city.
