Giselle General has spent over 15 years leading community initiatives and now she’s ready to give her Ward a strong voice on City Council.
Giselle has the professional expertise with lived experience to deliver practical, people-first leadership.
Giselle’s qualifications include:
- For over 15 years, Giselle has been a force in Edmonton’s civic and community life. She served on the Edmonton Transit Advisory Board as chair for two years, led neighbourhood community leagues, and was a board member of the Edmonton Multicultural Coalition and The Resilient Immigrant Foundation.
- She supports arts and heritage initiatives, and regularly contributes to both multicultural and mainstream media.
- Giselle’s work spans policy, public education, municipal issues and frontline volunteering — whether it’s writing columns, sewing reusable bags, donating blood, or mentoring youth.
- With her lived experience she will bring a strong voice for working families in her ward and our city.
